Klyuchevskoy park is no doubt one of the most beautiful places you’ve ever seen in your life. It’s located on Kamchatka and today we want to tell you about it.

One of the signs indicating that you approach Kamchatka is bears walking along the roads and blocking your way. If you meet a bear in the wild, you should be extremely careful. It’s very important not to anger it.

At the beginning of the journey everything looks like you’re travelling about the Moscow Region.

The city of Milkovo, the only big settlement within many dozens of kilometers.

Very nice houses depicting Gagarin.

The bridge across the Kamchatka is not yet built so you’ll have to wait for the ferry which slowly moves from one bank to the other.

Here you are most likely to face another problem of Kamchatka (besides bears) – mosquitoes. Once you leave the bus, a swarm of greedy and insatiable mosquitoes immediately attacks you!

In the cab of the GAZ-66.

The rain washed away the road and the truck got stuck in the mud. The remaining way has to be covered on foot.
A sign near this uninhabited house of a forester reads “Welcome to Klyuchevskoy park”. Click to see the full size.

Amazing views.

Ostry Tolbachik volcano.

Kamen volcano and Klyuchevskaya Sopka (the rear one).

Waiting till the rain stops.

Instead of green grass – rocks and snow covered with black sand.

The tundra.

And the Arctic Circle.

And this is what was left behind.

Smoking Bezymianny volcano.

The slope of Plosky Tolbachik volcano.

Majestic views.

At the end of the day the reddish moon rose above the horizon. It was so red that everybody thought it was the sun…

Lat question:Kamen and Bezymianny, are they two natural formed pyramides?the shape, and the formation,it looks like it,never the less nice to see pics,of landscapes without human constructions.
Pretty amazing pics. I wonder if they have helicopter ski trips there.
Reminds me that Winter is just around the corner, with its -40 temps.
Some beautiful country.
At times I wish ER would include a little map area indicator so I could see where these places are located but this is yet another great article from ER.
Kamchatka is such an amazing, beautiful place. I hope it stays this way forever! Love the photos, especially the bear photo.
