This is a lovely set of photos and it records a happy and important event for these girls. It is interesting to see how other people live and experience at second hand the things they do. Personally I find EnglishRussia endlessly fascinating, and it is this type of intimate photoshoot that makes it so.
I have to say, I am increasingly irritated by the large number of churlish, ‘glass half empty’, or just plain rude comments that are left on ER. The world is a fascinating place and I would respond to people who say this or that is ‘not interesting’, that in fact it is they who are not interesting, not the subject of their criticism!
You said it. The internet brings out the worst in people. I can only imagine there are a lot of angry, sexually frustrated 14 year old boys who take pleasure in criticizing the work and art of others. IMO the negative commenters are only making themselves look foolish.
Guys, this is a lovely set of photos indeed and the girls are cute. But this is in no way a typical hen party. These are photos taken by a boringly professional photographer without a spark of original thought at a rich hen party organized by a professional party planner who has a neat little brochure with a couple dozen party scenarios for people too rich or too lazy to be bothered with this. They’ve got it all planned to perfection and and there is absolutely no creativity or life in this.
I grant it that color-matching designer outfits look nice indeed and the pillows with embroidered crowns might not be such a bad idea but it is all so pretentious and utterly boring. The shots with a grinder and a shovel and the hay are frankly ostentatious. Oh look at us, we are photoshopped down to the fingernail and we drink Cointreau and Baileys but we are gonna sit on haystacks for a while and engage in a pillow fight because the man with the camera told us to. The wedding photos will probably look the same.
Were it a photoshoot for some magazine, you wouldn’t hear a word of criticism from me. But it is real women pretending to look like dummies and having someone arrange their life for them so that it fits in the pretty picture. There is something disturbingly wrong with this but it’s getting more and more common.
Still, I don’t know why it made me rant so much. Gotta go get some life
Absolutely 100%. If the brief was that the outcome should be some mundane commercial catalogue shots, the photographer has done a great job, however if it was to capture warmth and emotion of a special time then he or she has failed considerably. Crilley – are you a CD or photographer yourself per chance? You seem to understand composition and artistic creation well.

the grinder is operating correctly, which is more than can be said of the operator. what may have had you confused is that the forward grip on the grinder is mounted on the correct side for (pre)dominantly left-handed operators.
my God they are pretty. When you look at beautiful women, you know there must be a intelligent creator or at least a higher being with a splendid taste. But how come he gave most of them to Russia. That question my friends will newer be answered.
